THE CHEF'S STORY

It all began at the age of twelve...

I'm Chef Ajeezy and I was born and raised in the beautiful culinary utopia of Houston TX. As a young man raised in Houston’s northside community of 5th Ward, things were rough, to say the least.  Thanks to the love and support of my close-knit family and friends, along with my love for cooking even at a young age, I was able to successfully complete high school and join the US Navy. I served in San Diego, California as a Culinary Specialist for 5 years before returning home to work for the City of Houston. I continued to volunteer my culinary skills, assisting with catering and planning multiple employee events and I was offered a couple of paid catering events by friends of my family members, which all turned out to be successful. Then my wife suggested that I seriously consider the culinary industry as a  career. After denying it for a while, my wife signed me up for orientation at the Arts Institute of  Houston campus. After 9 years of service with the City of Houston, I realized my passion was truly doing what I've always been doing for much of my life and decided to hang up my utility belt and return to school to study the culinary arts. ABOUT CHEF AJEEZY

detours and hardships, once I stepped inside and experienced the professionalism of the Art Institute's staff, I knew I was exactly where God wanted me to be. I was able to graduate from the Art Institute of Houston with an Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts & Science and an Associate Degree in Baking and Pastry and I've finally opened my Catering & Private Chef Business. My company would be a lot different from the traditional catering structure as I would freshly prepare the meals for my clients during their festivities and become an actual part of the experience. Imagine having a backyard pool party and cookout with your grilled products being freshly prepared and served to you and your family right off of the pit, as you continue to entertain your guest without the hassle of stopping to check on your food. This is the experience I would like to bring to the world with my own flair and twist.

People throughout their lives are continuously trying to find their purpose and how they will leave their mark on the world. I've been blessed to stumble upon my purpose at the age of 14 and now that I know this is what God wants me to give to the world, I'm ready to take the culinary world by storm. I love making people happy and it still amazes me today the different emotions that are generated when others eat my food, and I'm ready and honor to give you and your family that same memorable experience.
